DELETE YOUR SAFEPLACE ACCOUNT
Last Updated: September 26, 2026
SafePlace is a VPN app by DUOSDIGITOS LLC. This page explains how to delete your SafePlace account — in the app or without it — and what happens to your data. One account serves the Android, iOS and desktop apps, so deleting it in any of them deletes it everywhere.
IN THE APP
This is the quickest way, and the account is deleted at once. Sign in to the account you want to delete, then:
- Open SafePlace and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Tap the person icon at the top of Settings to open your Profile. If you are signed out, this icon takes you to sign-in first.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
The app signs you out on this device. Your other devices lose the account’s Premium access and are signed out the next time their sign-in needs renewing. SafePlace keeps working on your devices without an account, on the free plan. You can sign in again at any time — that creates a new account.
WITHOUT THE APP
Email app@duosdigitos.com with the subject “Delete my SafePlace account”, from the email address of your account: the Google account you signed in with, or the address you received sign-in codes at. Nothing else is needed. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm when it is done.
If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, write from any address and include your private relay address — you can find it in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple. We will confirm the request at that address before deleting.
WHAT WE DELETE
- Your email address — it is removed from the account
- The links to your sign-in methods (Google, Apple or email code), together with the email address and account identifier that Google or Apple gave us
- Every sign-in session, so no device can renew its sign-in to the account
- The link between the account and your devices, and the account’s Premium access: each device is released and returns to the free plan
WHAT WE KEEP, AND FOR HOW LONG
These records stay after the account is deleted:
- Purchase records: the App Store or Google Play transaction and subscription identifiers, the plan, and the purchase and expiry dates. They stay attached to the deleted account, which no longer has an email address, and have no set deletion date. We keep them for accounting, refunds and fraud prevention, and so that a Google Play subscription you are still paying for can be moved to a new account if you sign in again.
- The deleted account itself, reduced to an internal number, the dates it was created and last signed in to, and a mark that it is deleted — for as long as the purchase records that refer to it.
- Each device’s own record: its random identifier, the device name the app reported (for example “Xiaomi Mi A3”) and settings such as the chosen region. SafePlace works without an account, so these records are no longer linked to any account but stay, with no set deletion date; we remove them on request.
- The log of one-time sign-in codes we emailed you: your address and when each code was sent (the code itself is stored only as a hash). It has no set deletion date; we remove it on request.
- Messages you sent us — feedback from the app with its technical report, or email — stay in our support mailbox; we delete them on request.
CANCEL A SUBSCRIPTION SEPARATELY
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: Google Play or the App Store keeps charging you until you cancel it there. On Android, open Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SafePlace → Cancel subscription, or open your subscriptions in Google Play. On iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you have paid for runs to its end.
